Rate varies based on bond amount

The CCB requires all licensed contractors to provide a Oregon contractor license bond with their application, equal to the amount required for their license classification.
The Oregon contractor license bond is mandated by the licensing requirements of the CCB. The bond is provided to protect consumers receiving services from contractors providing services in Oregon.
The Oregon Contractor License bond is payable to the State of Oregon and provides protection for consumers receiving services from licensed contractors.
An Oregon contractor license bond is underwritten based on the personal credit report of the business owner/applicant. The bond rate varies based on the license classification, amount and credit report. Once an application for an Oregon contractor license bond is received, it will be submitted to the surety company for approval. A response on the approval and rate will be provided within 24 business hours of receiving the application.
The original bond must be filed with the Oregon CCB once approved. The Oregon CCB will not accept faxed or emailed copies of the bond. Once filed with the Oregon CCB, the bond will remain in effect until cancelled by the surety company.
